Three ways to say you're welcome in Spanish

Gracias, muchas gracias – even those who don’t speak Spanish yet know that it means „thank you”. The problem starts when you want to respond to it. How to say „you’re welcome” in Spanish? „Eres bienvenido”? No it doesn’t work in this context, instead we can choose between three options which I’m explaining below.

How to be polite and thankful in Spanish? Three useful options

De nada

The shortest, the most popular and the most commonly used form.

¡No hay de qué!

El placer es mío / El gusto es mío

If you want to be very polite, you can always say something like „the pleasure is mine”. It’s definitely longer than the previous propositions but sometimes it’s vital to be really really kind.
